Ingredients:

  • 300g of lasagna noodles
  • 400g of ground beef
  • 200g of ricotta cheese
  • 300g of marinara sauce
  • 200g of mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 50g of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat, then add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce and fresh basil, then simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • In a baking dish, layer the bottom with a spoonful of meat sauce, followed by a layer of lasagna noodles, then spread the ricotta mixture on top.
  • Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of meat sauce topped with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
