Here’s a delicious recipe for Four Cheese Pizza (Quattro Formaggi)—a rich, cheesy masterpiece with a blend of gooey, creamy, and sharp cheeses.


🧾 Ingredients

For the Dough (or use store-bought):

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Toppings:

  • ½ cup pizza sauce (or garlic oil for a white base)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (melty base cheese)

  • ½ cup gorgonzola or blue cheese (for tang)

  • ½ cup grated parmesan (for saltiness & depth)

  • ½ cup fontina or provolone (extra melt & richness)

  • Fresh basil or a sprinkle of oregano (optional garnish)

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water in a bowl. Let it sit until foamy (about 10 mins).

  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix and knead for 5–7 mins until smooth.

  3. Cover and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.

Step 2: Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, heat it inside the oven.

Step 3: Assemble the Pizza

  1. Roll out your dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle.

  2. Place it on a baking sheet or hot stone.

  3. Spread a light layer of pizza sauce (or garlic oil for a white version).
